At Ashby Hill Top Primary School, we follow the National Curriculum. The following documents map out how the curriculum will be approached during the year, supported by the detail of the National Curriculum and the skills and knowledge that we teach the children.
Every year the curriculum map for each phase is reviewed to ensure that full coverage of the National Curriculum is achieved during the 2 years that the children are in the team.
In Key Stage 1 we use the Oxford Reading Scheme and a variety of book banded books. You can find out more about this here.
Phonics is taught using the Sounds-Write programme. You can find out more about this here.
