Everyone at Ashby Hill Top is concerned first and foremost with children. The staff and governors are committed to providing the very best education for all our pupils. We care passionately about the quality and nature of the education we provide. Our overall aim is to give your child a love of learning that they can carry forwards with them. We look forward to sharing this next year with you and your child.

We know that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. We offer a three-stage approach to welcoming new children and families:

Open Evening for Parents – to be held on Thursday 1st October at 6.00pm
Individual Tours – available between September and December. These can be booked by contacting the school office via phone or email, or during the Open Evening. These tours are aimed at parents, although children are welcome to attend.
*Stay and Play Session for Children – to be held on Saturday 5th December drop in between 9.30am and 12.30pm

Events for prospective EYFS families

Gates open at 8.45am
Registration at 9.00am
School ends at 3.25pm
Equal to 32.5 hours per week

Meet Mrs Dexter- one of our EYFS teachers!

I was born in Carlisle in Cumbria and have lived in Ashby for over 10 years. After teaching in Manchester and Leicester I was lucky enough to become a Hill Topper in 2012. I have taught from Nursery through to Year 1 but my true passion lies with teaching the Reception Year. Hill Top has a very special place in my heart and I truly cannot imagine teaching anywhere else!

Meet Miss Spratt- one of our EYFS teachers!

I grew up in Leicester and moved closer to Ashby to complete my degree at the University of Derby. This is my second year teaching at Ashby Hill Top and I have had experience in both Key Stage 1 and in reception. I cannot wait to meet your child and see what the year ahead brings!
