Admission to Ashby Hill Top Primary School Academy is governed by Leicestershire County Council (LCC). Applications for first time admission should be made to LCC by the 15th January 2019 here, using their Online application system.
If you wish to move your child to us from a different school, this is called an in-year transfer. You will again need to use the LCC online application system and also contact our school to discuss this process.
Our Admission Policy is the same as Leicestershire County Council. The policy can be found here.
The Planned Admission Number is 45 students per year.

We provide a gradual induction programme for our new Foundation Stage children and their parents.
Parents are invited to an information evening in the Summer Term, before children start, and we invite children into school for a short ‘taster’ session in the Summer Term too. Induction packs provide information about what happens in school and includes a number of forms for parents to complete and sign. New children start school, after the summer holidays, part time to begin with, building to full time very quickly.
New children settle very quickly at our school; we encourage independence from the start but are also mindful that some need a little more time to get used to routines.
Those children, who join us part way through the year may start school on an agreed date which is negotiated with the school.
Some children join us at the end of the summer term and we ask them to attend on the nominated induction days when all children move to their new classes. Those children who may join us part way through the year are welcome to have an induction day which should be negotiated with the school.
