Everyone BelongsWe teach 'Everyone Belongs' as part of our commitment to promoting equality and diversity in all aspects of school life.
'Everyone Belongs' is a whole school approach that uses resources and a framework to teach children about equality and diversity, in line with British Values, Ofsted guidelines and the Equality Act (2010). 'Everyone Belongs' uses storybooks, lesson plans and assemblies to create and support the development of a whole school community that embraces and celebrates all forms of difference. The school holds detailed plans about how this is taught. |

It is important that all children gain an understanding of the world they are growing up in, and learn how to live alongside, and show respect for, a diverse range of people.

In order to enable us to further promote an ethos of inclusion and tolerance, we have decided to introduce ‘Everyone Belongs’ into our PSHE lessons. This is a programme is inspired by the ‘No Outsiders’ scheme and the Local Authority’s ‘Everyone’s Welcome’ scheme, that is used in some other trust schools. We have adapted this approach to best meet the needs of the children who attend Donisthorpe Primary School.
