Geography

Picture
At Ashby Hill Top Primary School our intent is to build a geographical curriculum that inspires pupils to have a curiosity and a fascination about the world and its people.

We provide opportunities for children to explore and develop a deeper understanding of the human and physical world in which they live by equipping our learners with knowledge, skills and understanding as set out in the National Curriculum Geography Programs of study.

We promote an understanding and interest in the diverse places, people, environments and resources so that children can develop their spiritual, moral, social and cultural responsibilities.

We have built a broad and balanced curriculum by planning with the National Curriculum objectives and tailoring our school content so that our learners develop an accumulative and integrated subject based understanding of the world around them.
