The intent of the history curriculum at Ashby Hill Top Primary School is to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum which is inclusive to all children regardless of starting points. At Ashby Hill Top, we regard the children as historians who are inquisitive about the past in both Britain and the wider world enabling them understand how the significant people in the past influence present day and how and why people interpret the past in different ways.
The National Curriculum has directed the decision of what periods of history are covered at Ashby Hill Top Primary school.
